This year's edition of the Homo Informaticus 8.0 conference was held on April 22-23, 2022. It was organized by the Faculty of Philosophy of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan in cooperation with members of our #Webimmunization scientific project. The conference had an interdisciplinary character and the presentations were delivered in Polish.

One of the main goals of the eighth edition of the Homo Informaticus conference was to show the connections between computer science and humanities and social sciences in order to make the conference a place of scientific dialogue and integration of various scientific communities. Therefore, everyone interested in the problems of contemporary computer science with special consideration of those aspects which directly refer to humanistic and social issues, has been invited to participate in the deliberations.

Members of the #Webimmunization project presented the following topics in the first session of the conference:

In the first lecture, dr. Jan Piasecki raised the issue of using in scientific research user data obtained from social media platforms, also in the context of the research currently conducted in the #Webimmunization project. Agata Olejniuk, BA, spoke about the issue of participation of excluded groups in scientific research, and Prof. Mikołaj Morzy spoke about the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools.

During the second presentation, Michał Piksa, MA, talked about the results of the conducted research, during which four phenotypes of susceptibility to (mis)information were identified.

In the third presentation, dr. Paweł Gwiaździński, presented the results of a systematic review of psychological interventions countering misinformation in social media.

At the end of the first session of the conference, speakers jointly answered questions from the audience.

In the further part of the conference, members of our team participated as listeners, and each of the speeches aroused lively interest and discussions, which continued during coffee breaks. The conference proved to be a very interesting platform for exchanging knowledge and experience.

We would like to thank the coordinators of the Homo Informaticus project, prof. UAM Sławomir Leciejewski and dr Mariusz Szynkiewicz, for the excellent organization of the event and successful cooperation.

Recordings of the speeches given by members of the #Webimmunization project will soon be available on the project website (in Polish).
